The 8th International Festival „Harmony“ took place on 30, 31 May and 01 June 2014.
This is the third year in which the Festival in held within the framework of the European Project „Harmanli in songs and colors“. This time the organizers had the task to organize the event without any provided finances.
For the fist time this year the host choir „Nightingale“ performed alone on 30 May. They presented one-hour version of the staging „The Czardas Queen“ by Emmerich Kalman.
On the next day (31 May) the program continued with the performance of representative municipal choir „Evmolpeya“ - Plovdiv, conductor Rada Slavinska; mixed choir of the transport workers - Sofia, conductor Petar Matev; mixed choir „Rodina“ - Stara Zagora, conductor Emil Minev and choir „Cantamici“ - Leicester, England, conductor David Nickland.
Traditionally the end of the Festival was put in Sunday (01 June) with the performance of sacral repertoire in the church „St. Ivan Rilski“.
The total number of the singers on stage was 170. And for the first time a choir from England took part in the Festival „Harmony“.
