It took place from 1 to 3 June 2012. For the first time eight choirs took part in it - 4 from Bulgaria (Harmanli, Panagyurishte, Nova Zagora and Sofia) and 4 from abroad (Russia, USA, and two from Israel). For the first time guest-conductors were invited on the festival - these were professor Peter Liondev, president of the Bulgarian Composer“s Union, and Mladen Stanev - conductor of the choir from the Stara Zagora“s opera. The sixth International Choir Festival “Harmony 2012“ took place within the framework of a project called “Harmanli in songs and colours“, won by Municipality Harmanli - BG 161РО001/1.1-10/2010/028 - financed by the European Fund for Regional Development.
In the sixth International Choir Festival took part about 220 members of choirs, solists, musicians, co-tutors and conductors, and more than 100 of them were from abroad.
